Presented by the Tourism Council of South Australia (TiCSA), the awards are the pinnacle of excellence in the local tourism industry, celebrating individuals, businesses and attractions across our spectacular state in 32 categories.

Woodhouse Activity Centre

Get fast and furious on tube slides. Make your way through The Labyrinth – a giant split-level maze with a slide and fireman’s pole. Crawl, cling, swing and slide as you navigate Woody’s Challenge Hill obstacle course.

This is just a taste of the fantastic fun Woodhouse Activity Centre has to offer. This amazing outdoor adventure wonderland, set on a 54-hectare property in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, claimed the award for the second year in a row.

Woodhouse offers five unique accommodation experiences, from rustic chalets to a spacious bunkhouse and wide-open campgrounds. Built in 1863, the Old Woodhouse Manor is a stately two-storey heritage-listed building perfect for weddings, retreats and other special occasions.

Woodhouse was also acknowledged with the RAA Voters’ Choice Tourism Award (Accommodation), as voted by the South Australian public. This honour, which it previously took home in 2019, recognises commitment to delivering service excellence.

And there’s no better way to experience its grandeur than by taking one of the world’s most magnificent rail journeys.

For more than 90 years, The Ghan has roared across infinite desert plains, a locomotive link between Adelaide and Darwin, passing through Alice Springs on the journey.

Two epic trips are available.

There’s the Adelaide to Darwin route – or Darwin to Adelaide if you prefer – which travels 2,979km over four days and three nights. Along the way there’s unforgettable off-train experiences in Katherine, Alice Springs and Coober Pedy.

Or you can embark on the Adelaide to Alice Springs adventure. Spend two days and one night aboard The Ghan with an early morning stopover at Marla.

Both trips feature all-inclusive meals and drinks with a regionally inspired menu complemented by the finest local wines.
