Whether you’re a seasoned independent traveller or you’re embarking on your first solo adventure, a cruise holiday could tick all the boxes.
Gone are the days when cruises were just for families and couples. They’re becoming so popular with independent travellers that cruise companies are designing cabins, amenities and deals to cater for the increasing demand.
Is it affordable?
When booking a cabin, you may be dreading the single supplement that’s often charged for accommodation to cover the cost of a double occupancy. The good news is some companies such as Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean offer single cabins – at a single rate – so you’re not having to fork out extra cash.
Each ship has only a handful of these cabins available so if you have your eye on a particular cruise, be sure to book early.
As well as accommodation, single fares generally include all the other bells and whistles, such as main meals and onboard entertainment, so you can make the most of your adventure on the high seas.
