We challenged you in May to ‘guess that car noise’. With an average score of 88%, it’s safe to say the majority passed the test. Now we’ve taken it up a decibel with some noises you may (or may not) have heard on the road.

1. Keep your ears open or you might miss this noise as it zooms by.*

6. Hint: this noise might not be familiar to every driver.*
- Locking the doors on an older car
- Hitting tyres along the kerb
- Electric windows rolling up
7. Ah, that satisfying ‘click’ gets us every time.*
- Inserting a tape cassette into an old car stereo
- Fastening seatbelt
- Fiddling with car controls
8. This sound followed by silence doesn’t always mean trouble, right?*
- Pulling up the lever-operated handbrake
- Flat battery
- Manually rolling up the car window
9. There are a few noises here. Can you guess what’s going on?*
