Despite government restrictions easing, allowing restaurants, cafés and pubs to reopen under special guidelines, many are still relying on takeaway as their bread and butter.
You may have read our story a few weeks back, highlighting some of our favourite SA eateries offering takeaway. Now, here are 5 more options that will make mealtime easier for you.
Best of all, you can find them all, plus hundreds more, on the food delivery app, Uber Eats and RAA members who are new to the app can get free delivery for a month (see details below).
1. Somewhere At Moseley
Where: 4c Moseley St, Glenelg
Try: From the Big Boss breakfast complete with eggs, bacon and hash browns, to the simplicity of a croissant with cheese, take your pick from delicious sustenance to kick-start your day. The Nutino (similar to Nutella) latte is the extra buzz you need.
2. Sumac Café
Where: 576–590 Goodwood Rd, Colonel Light Gardens
Try: International travel may be off the cards for now, but you can still indulge in different cuisines from home.
We’re loving the traditional flavours of Lebanon coming from Sumac Café, which remains open for takeaway and delivery only.
Order the shishtawook manouche – flatbread with marinated chicken, tomato, cheese and a garlic butter base.
3. FB’s Fancy Burgers
Where: Black Forest, Blackwood, Kensington Park
Try: By now you’re probably well and truly ready for a fancy meal out. But before putting on your best outfit, check if FB’s Fancy Burgers in Black Forest is within delivery proximity.
From tangy satay chicken to blue cheese bacon burgers, dig in with 2 hands from the comfort of home. International Burger Day may have been a couple of weeks ago, but we’re all for extending the celebration.
4. Veggo Sizzle
Where: 358 King William St, Adelaide
Try: Crazy times call for relaxation, so why not veg out in front of the TV with some simple, yet delicious, food? Our top pick for comfort food with a twist is Veggo Sizzle.
Purely vegetarian, Veggo Sizzle’s menu tempts the tastebuds. Just one look at the fries menu (yes, there’s a fries menu) is enough to get mouths watering. Think homemade vegan chicken fries and – wait for it – crispy avocado fries.
5. Netflix & Chilled
Where: Various locations across SA
Try: We get it – iso life can be tough. That’s why the little things, like getting delicious treats from Netflix & Chilled delivered straight to your doorstep, can go such a long way.
Try the DABs (doughnut abs) – cinnamon doughnuts broken apart with toppings of your choice – for a desert of a different kind. Think Oreos, Maltesers and even marble chocolate – abs have never looked so good.
If you’re anything like us, you’ve probably been working on your abs over the past few months, right? *crickets start chirping*
